From retail buying to brand management to real estate, Dianna Silver has managed to find success across various industries (and states) by relying on her stellar communication skills and natural gift of gab.
Starting her career in Florida, Dianna was a buyer for Beall’s Outlet, where she learned how to effectively plan, negotiate, and run a business. She decided to make the move back to the Midwest to prioritize family after hearing the news that twin sister was pregnant with her favorite niece, Katy.
Once in Columbus, Dianna took a job buying for Big Lots. “This job was amazing,” Dianna says, “However, it didn’t provide work / life balance, which is the biggest reason I moved to Columbus…for life balance. I needed to realign myself to a place where I could utilize my skills but have flexibility to spend time with my niece.”
It was at Superga where Dianna was able to redefine her organization, communication, and follow-up skills, before making the transition to real estate. “It was a totally different industry,” she recalls, “but one I was familiar with and knew my experience would aid in my success.”
Dianna found success selling home warranties for about 7 and a half years and was content in her career when she came across an opportunity at Ohio Real Title.
“Honestly, I wasn’t looking to make a move. However, several realtors that I already had established relationships with continued to talk about how great Ohio Real Title is. I went to a happy hour with a few realtors and Ron Benjamin. Ron and I decided to meet early the following week to further discuss ORT. I wanted in, this is exactly what I wasn’t looking for, but [the opportunity] intrigued me. The next day, I had a Zoom meeting with Ryan Marrie, then Mandie Ward and that was it. Ron, Ryan, and Mandie made me see how ORT is a family and a team that works together to ensure realtors, homebuyers, and sellers have the best experience. I started at Ohio Real Title three weeks later and could not be happier with my decision.”
Dianna is excited about her future at Ohio Real Title and appreciates the honesty and integrity of her coworkers. “They are honest, follow all the state and federal guidelines / laws, and are fully RESPA compliant – which is very important to me and to all involved in the real estate industry,” she comments.
We recently had the opportunity to talk with Dianna Silver about her work, as well as how she spends her time away from Ohio Real Title.
