A warm feeling of thankfulness and appreciation, gratitude affirms that there are good things in the world – and it is probably fair to say that we all need this right now! It is an acknowledgment that others give us many gifts – big and small – that help us to achieve the goodness in our lives and success in our profession.
While feeling gratitude is important, expressing gratitude is essential for both your own sense of well-being as well as for nurturing those relationships so important to all aspects of your life. Let’s take a look at a few simple ways to express gratitude in real estate, whether to your clients, industry partners, or colleagues.
Write it down.
It may seem obvious, and rather simple, but a handwritten note these days is like a lost art. A simple note of appreciation is authentic, meaningful, and will make both you and the recipient feel good.
Make it public.
While we love a handwritten note, we also understand that in this day and age, public acknowledgments of gratitude on social media are free but priceless. Not only are you able to express your gratitude, but it also helps to spread the word about their business at the same time.
Take time to catch up.
Life is busy, particularly for those in the real estate industry. So taking time out of your day to schedule a time to meet for coffee with a valued client or partner lets them know just how important they are to you.
Give a gift.
It doesn’t have to be anything extravagant, but even a small gift card to a local shop or restaurant can bring a big smile to the recipient. Not to mention, you are supporting other local businesses while you are at it.
Make a donation.
Rather than giving a gift, you may decide to make a donation to an organization of particular importance to your client. You can show your appreciation while making an impact on something that is important and personal to them.
At Ohio Real Title, we are grateful for all of our clients and partners, and particularly for our team members who make us who we are. Thank you.
