Rick Capretta has worked in Sales and Marketing for Ohio Real Title for just over two years now. He’s also a successful entrepreneur who runs CAPGEM Technical Services, his engineering recruiting company, in his spare time! We caught up with Rick to learn more about his customer service and client communications position at Ohio Real Title.
What are your day-to-day job responsibilities at Ohio Real Title?
Visiting current clients, taking any random calls and putting out fires all day. I’m always working on building my book by calling on new clients and attending networking events.
What’s your favorite part about your job?
The thrill of the chase with new clients. And, of course, I love my current client base, especially stopping in and finding ways to make them more successful.
If you weren’t in this job, what would your dream job be?
My dream job would be playing for the Cleveland Indians or to be a cast member on Saturday Night Live.
What is one thing you’ve learned working at Ohio Real Title?
Seek to gather both sides of the story before rushing to judgment. Because I had not been working in this industry before starting at Ohio Real Title, everything is brand new. I always want to make sure I’m giving the right answers, so I’ll go to my knowledge centers—to Ryan, Keith and legal—and make sure I have a good understanding of what I’m talking about.
What is one thing Ohio Real Title does better than other title agencies?
Nobody does exactly what we do on the level we do it. We do a good job at being a lot of things for a lot of people. And for how many people there are in the organization, it’s amazing how easy it is to get a return call and an answer to any question you may have.
What’s something people may not know about you?
I played college baseball, and I coach both my kids in a bunch of sports.
